Treatment

General & preventive dentistry

Regular examinations, cleaning, fillings and preventive care to help maintain long-term oral health.

Routine visits make it easier to spot problems early, when treatment is often simpler.

Routine check-up in the clinic

Is it right for you

Care for the whole family

From a child's first visit to regular care for older family members, general dentistry is the foundation of everything else.

  • Routine check-ups and professional cleaning
  • Bleeding, swollen or tender gums
  • Tooth sensitivity or a new ache
  • Cavities that need filling
  • Wisdom teeth that are painful or partly erupted

The process

What a routine visit includes

Every step is explained before it begins, so you always know what's happening and why.

  1. A conversation

We ask about any concerns, changes in your health and your daily oral care.

  2. Examination

Your teeth, gums, bite and the soft tissues of your mouth are checked carefully.

  3. Digital X-rays when needed

X-rays are taken only when they help reveal problems that cannot be seen by eye.

  4. Scaling and polishing

Professional cleaning removes plaque and tartar that brushing can't.

  5. Advice and next steps

You leave with clear advice and, if anything needs treatment, an explanation of your options.

Weighing it up

Benefits and considerations

Clear, honest information helps you make a decision you feel good about.

Why regular care helps

  • Problems found early are often simpler to treat
  • Cleaner teeth and healthier gums
  • Personal advice for brushing, flossing and diet
  • A record of your oral health over time

What to keep in mind

  • Check-ups are usually advised every six months, or as your dentist recommends
  • Bleeding gums shouldn't be ignored
  • Mild sensitivity after cleaning is normal and short-lived
  • Home care between visits matters as much as the visits

Suitability is confirmed only after a clinical examination, and results vary from person to person.

Questions patients ask

Can't find your question here? Ask the clinic team on WhatsApp.

How often should I visit the dentist?

Most people benefit from a check-up and cleaning every six months. A different interval may be suggested based on your gum health and risk of decay.

Does scaling damage the enamel?

Professional scaling removes tartar from the tooth surface and does not damage healthy enamel when done correctly. Teeth may feel a little sensitive for a short while afterwards.

Why do my gums bleed when I brush?

Bleeding is often a sign of gum inflammation caused by plaque. It's worth getting checked, as early gum problems are usually easier to manage.

When should my child first see a dentist?

A first visit is generally recommended around the time the first tooth appears, or by the first birthday. Early visits help children feel comfortable.
